Naukluft Mountains

Visitors who love being active during their holiday in Namibia can explore the Naukluft mountains with its breathtaking hiking trails.

The Naukluft Mountains are home to the Hartman Zebra, Klipspringer, Kudu, Baboon and Dassie (Rock Hyrax). Numerous species of birds, including birds of prey such as black eagle and owls can be seen. Two well-marked hiking trails, the Waterkloof trail (17 km / 6-8 hours) and the Olive trail (10 km / 4-5 hours) can be done. Both trails are well manageable without a guide.
