The legendary feral horses of the Namib, the historic diamond centre of Kolmanskop, the romantic Luderitz Bay and the majestic Fish River Canyon are within a day's reach of
Farm Duwisib

Top: Southern Namib Naukluft Park, near
the village of Aus, after unusually prolific
summer rain falls.  The section of the park
that is home to the feral horses borders the once infamous Prohibited Diamond Area.

Left:  "Ghost town" Kolmanskop - a centre of world attention and fortune seekers during the diamond rush of the early 1900's;  today, a museum village under constant siege of the Namib Desert claiming back its toll.

Right: The Fish River Canyon, the second-largest of its kind in the world, its thermal springs at Ai-Ais and a large section of the beautiful Orange River Valley were integrated into the Richtersveld Trans-Frontier Park, a joint-venture project of Namibia and South Africa towards the establishment of large-scale Peace Parks across the African sub-continent that bridge national borders.

Left & Right: Beautifully restored colonial architecture, a tranquil bay on the edge of the Namib, and the Diaz Point are trademarks of the historic harbour-town of Luderitz on the Atlantic Ocean.
