Our guest facilities are set in unspoiled Namibian landscapes, with a family-friendly atmosphere being another one of Farm Duwisib's main attractions. Whilst enjoying the natural beauty of the remote valley that we call home, in the company of an experienced farmer, visitors  are afforded opportunities for gaining insights into the particularities of breeding goats, cattle, and horses in this semi-desert environment.

Weaver birds build large communal nests in Namibia's desert regions to protect their colony from hungry predators

Communal weaver bird nests are commonly found on the desert's fringes in southern Namibia. African wildlife is varied, and roams these vast lands. Unique plant species like the hoodia are found here too.

The fruit of a cactus locally called "prickly pear" make a tasty jam and delicious juice. These rare delicacies and other souvenirs handcrafted  locally are available in our Shop & Restaurant.

Jam and juice made from "prickly pears" are Namibian delicacies available at Farm Duwisib's souvenir shop situated near Duwisib Castle

Antique farm equipment, furniture and other items dating back to the German colonial era in Namibia can be seen at Farm Duwisib and Duwisib Castle

A wooden ox-wagon, over 100 years in age, as well as other relicts of the 1800's are on display at Duwisib Castle and at the historic forge situated on our Farm Duwisib.
